We got the email below from current client Neighborcare Health and promised to pass along this opportunity to work at their fantastic organization.

“For several years we’ve had the good fortune of working with Susan Amberson as a consultant, and for the last year+ on our staff as our government Grants Manager. At last, her Olympia – Seattle commute has taken its toll, and Susan will soon be leaving the staff position to resume her consulting business.

With that transition, Neighborcare Health is now recruiting for the Grants Manager position. Since people who know the health center grants count among the rarest of birds, I’m trying to spread the word far and wide, and hope you can help:

Will you please forward this email to anyone you think might be a solid candidate for the job?

The Grants Manager is a full time position, and works in the development team. The position manages a portfolio of more than 30 primarily governmental grants, totaling more than ten million dollars per year. Responsibilities include research, writing and reporting on these grants, monitoring compliance, and working in partnership with IT, accounting and program staff to that end. Excellent communication skills are needed, as well as a solid understanding of budgeting. Familiarity with health care is a plus, working knowledge of government grants is a must, and knowledge of HRSA is much preferred. Lastly, the Grants Manager has to be exceptionally well organized.

Our office is on Western Avenue, near Pike Place Market, which at least some people consider a perk. The team is a great bunch of people – there is much camaraderie, and a work-hard play-hard culture.

The position will be posted on our jobs page at http://www.neighborcare.org/careers which is the best means for submitting resumes.

Thanks for your help in spreading the word!”
