Jim Hopper, CFRE, Principal
Jim provides counsel using creative solutions for feasibility studies, development advancement studies and capital campaign management; which includes strategic planning, board and staff training, public relations, and donor management and stewardship. Prior to joining The Collins Group, he worked with cultural, arts, and environmental nonprofit organizations. Jim is a frequent presenter and trainer on fundraising and trends in philanthropy, in particular, on how to reach and steward young donors. Jim serves on the Historic Preservation Advisory Committee of 4Culture and on the Steering Committee for the Washington State Historic County Courthouse Grant Program. He is a volunteer with Scala House Press and serves as an Alumni Coordinator for Enrollment for Lewis & Clark College, from where he earned a BA in History. Jim is an avid outdoorsman and a dedicated local historian. When not enjoying a day on the lake or hiking in the mountains, he can be found spelunking through the catacombs of old buildings.
