Kristin Barsness, Ph.D., CFRE, Vice President

Kristin Barsness, Ph.D., CFRE, Vice President, has worked in the nonprofit sector for over two decades and has dedicated more than 10 years of that time to providing direct fundraising services. She leads TCG's Product and Innovation Team, which is responsible for new product development and enhancing current products in response to emerging community need.

At The Collins Group, she has provided counsel for clients in Washington, Oregon, and Montana, offering strategic guidance for capital campaigns, feasibility studies, board development, major and planned giving, and annual fund development.

In addition to her development expertise, Kristin is a trained anthropologist, curator, and scholar who has worked for museums, galleries, and universities.

Kristin holds doctorate and master’s degrees in Anthropology from Bryn Mawr College, and a BA in Anthropology and Archaeology from Cornell University. In her personal time, she serves on the boards of FUSION and Communities in Schools of Federal Way.
