Museum of the Rockies, Bozeman, Montana

Located in the northern range of the Rocky Mountains, The Museum of the Rockies (MOR) offers one of the finest paleontology collections in North America. In 2004, MOR hired The Collins Group to evaluate the feasibility of a capital campaign to expand the institution. The fundraising climate in the Greater Bozeman area had been saturated with capital campaigns so The Collins Group designed a study to build institutional capacity with two strategic approaches to the campaign: one, capitalizing upon the unique national opportunities of the museum, and two, involving a wide variety of stakeholders in the study to begin building ownership of the campaign. Following a successful study, The Collins Group was retained as campaign counsel and provided strategic input and direction during the four-year multi-million campaign.
