Stuart R. Grover, Ph.D., Chairman Emeritus
In 2004, Stuart moved out of managing The Collins Group but continues to provide consultation on select projects through the firm. He is known throughout the region for his work with boards, his ability to create innovative, interactive sessions that inspire nonprofit leadership, and for his emphasis on values-based fundraising. He received the 2004 Northwest Development Officers Association Professional Achievement Award and teaches in the fundraising certificate program at the University of Washington-Tacoma. His book "Capital Campaigns: A Guide for Board Members and Others Who Aren’t Professional Fundraisers but Who Will Be the Heroes Who Create a Better Community," a guide for board members and volunteers, was published in 2006. A revised edition for community and technical colleges "Getting the Green: Fundraising for Community Colleges" was published in 2009. Stuart received his doctorate from the University of Wisconsin. He is a lifelong runner, classical music aficionado, and world traveler. He plans to continue his travels with trips to destinations such as Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Tahiti.
