The Collins Group - The Northwest's Choice for Fundraising Counsel

What is a CFRE?

A CFRE is a Certified Fund Raising Executive. CFRE is the only internationally-recognized professional credential for philanthropic fundraising executives. There are nearly 4,900 worldwide.

To become a CFRE, an applicant must have significant documented experience in the areas of professional practice and service, continuing education in the field, and community service -- and have to pass a written test. CFREs must regularly complete continuing education and continue to volunteer time and/or services to nonprofit organizations in order to retain their credential.

Why is it Great We Have 10 of Them?

The Collins Group believes in giving back to the profession and the sector. Many of our 18 consultants and staff serve on boards and provide pro bono services to organizations in which they are personally involved. We invest thousands of hours of consultant time in professional associations, pro bono services, and community activities so that our staff can continue to both teach and learn from other philanthropic leaders. The TCG team serves on over 15 boards and as leaders in professional associations, and volunteers for over 40 organizations.

Becoming a CFRE is a commitment to the professional fundraising field. Our consultants come to us across sectors and from a variety of backgrounds, but we all share a deep belief in the power of philanthropy and how it can transform our lives and communities. TCG consultants are committed to the highest standards of fundraising and are committed to leveraging that knowledge for the benefit of their client.

We adhere to the Donor Bill of Rights and encourage all our clients to do so.
